True Happiness and Beauty
When you think of happiness, what comes to mind? How about beauty, what do you think of that? Too many of us put our worth and happiness into looking a certain way. So what about happiness and beauty in it's purest form? Many of us unknowingly continue to push our truly beautiful, happy selves away by making these conditions for ourselves. "If I lost weight, I'd be happy", "If I was pretty, I'd be happy," if I did this, and had that, I'd be happy. The list is endless! We try to find beauty in all of the wrong ways, when in fact it's already within us. We look for things or people to make us feel beautiful and complete, when we are already both of those things. Love yourself unconditionally!
Many of us think that beauty will only be the result of changing ourselves on the outside. A lot of the people who get cosmetic surgery, for example, still find themselves disliking or loathing the reflection in the mirror, and why? Because the problem is how you think, not how you look. It's an inside job. If you ask yourself, "When will I ever be happy with myself?", the answer is: when you stop fighting with who you are and embrace yourself instead, flaws and all. The more negativity you direct at yourself or situations, the worse they become. You become at war with your body that is already so beautiful if you would only take the time to see!
Inner beauty unfortunately receives a lack of focus in our world, so it's often deemed unimportant or lesser than outer beauty. But inner beauty shines from within and radiates on the outside. Have you ever seen a person simply glowing, smiling, emitting pure happiness, compassion and strength? They're full of life and love for themselves and the people who love them. Aren't they so beautiful? Inner and outer beauty works hand in hand, so let's not discriminate and give them both our love.
